Das derzeitige österreichische Fremdenrecht führt dazu, dass fast täglich Menschen illegalisiert werden: Eine Unterschriftenliste im Internet sammelt nun Menschen, die offen erklären: "Ich helfe Menschen im Enstfall weiter, auch wenn sie illegalisiert wurden".

Das derzeitige österreichische Fremdenrecht führt dazu, dass fast täglich Menschen illegalisiert werden:
Weil sie ihre Aufenthaltsgenehmigung verlieren; weil sie zu wenig verdienen; weil ihre EhepartnerInnen zu wenig verdienen; weil sie aus dem Asylsystem fallen.
Wem das passiert, der ist von einem Tag auf den anderen illegalisiert, muss
untertauchen oder wird Opfer "aufenthaltsbeendender Maßnahmen". Fast täglich werden Menschen aus Österreich abgeschoben, die seit Jahren hier leben und sonst kein Zuhause haben, oder sogar fürchten müssen in ihrem Heimatland zu sterben.
Für viele dieser Menschen gibt es, wenn sie bleiben können, eine zweite Chance: Auf humanitären Aufenthalt, auf Wiederaufnahme des Asylverfahrens oder auf das Menschenrecht auf Familie.

Emanuel Danesch and David Rych will follow Küba’s journey from Constanta to Vienna, traveling by car and towing a caravan converted to function as a mobile videotheque. In advance of their departure, they will collect film and video works, representing multiple communities in the eight different countries involved in Küba: A Journey Against the Current, featuring Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic "minorities", but also non homogenous groups marginalized due to several other factors.
These films, which will then be shown at each venue as part of the Minority Logbox archive, have been individually selected in order to reflect the cultural, geographical, political and social situation of these communities and individuals, widening the focus on transnational social groups often overlooked by administrative descriptions and thereby deprived of legal status.

Stakeholder?

In the last decades of the 20th century, the word "stakeholder" has evolved to mean a person or organization that has a legitimate interest in a project or entity. In discussing the decision-making process for institutions - including large business corporations, government agencies and non-profit organizations -- the concept has been broadened to include everyone with an interest (or "stake") in what the entity does. That includes not only its vendors, employees, and customers, but even members of a community where its offices or factory may affect the local economy or environment. In that context, "stakeholder" includes not only the directors or trustees on its governing board (who are stakeholders in the traditional sense of the word) but also all persons who "paid in" the figurative stake and the persons to whom it may be "paid out" (in the sense of a "payoff" in game theory, meaning the outcome of the transaction).

Examples of common stakeholders – their interests:
Owners private/shareholders - Profit, Performance, Direction
Government - Taxation, VAT, Legislation
Senior Management staff - Performance, Targets
Non-Managerial staff - Rates of pay, Job security
Trade Unions - Working conditions, Minimum wage
Customers - Value, Quality, Customer Care

Local Community - Jobs, Involvement, Environmental issues
